FleetEV Supports the One Planet Cardiff Schools Celebration Event

FleetEV, Cardiff’s leading electric vehicle provider, sponsored the inaugural One Planet Cardiff Schools Celebration Event on Thursday 3 July.

The event, a joint initiative between the One Planet Cardiff programme and the Curriculum Teams, brought together students, educators and eco-champions from across the district to highlight the inspiring work being done to create a greener, more sustainable future.

FleetEV proudly sponsored the Eco Ambassador Award, which was presented to an exceptional pupil demonstrating passion and leadership in environmental action. Rupert from Radyr Comprehensive School was the winner for being a driving force behind the Environmental Stewards initiative and being instrumental in shaping the school’s sustainability strategy. Jamie from Adamsdown Primary School was highly commended for the category for being a true eco-warrior whose daily commitment ensures that even the smallest eco-tasks, like recycling, are done right.

Other awards during the event included the Sustainable Community Engagement Award, Eco-Schools Whole School Involvement Award and the One Planet Cardiff Schools Grand Prize.

Held over a full day, the event featured interactive workshops focused on pressing eco-topics often overlooked in schools, encouraging hands-on learning, collaboration and innovative thinking. The day culminated in a celebratory awards ceremony, recognising the efforts of students and schools leading the charge for climate action.
