Blaenau Gwent Adds Maxus eDeliver 7 to Its Electric Fleet

FleetEV has delivered a Maxus eDeliver 7 electric panel van to Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, supporting the council's ongoing transition to cleaner, lower-emission fleet operations. It's a practical example of how public sector electric fleet vehicles can replace conventional diesel workhorses without asking operational teams to trade away the capability they rely on day to day.

The Maxus eDeliver 7 is a fully electric mid-size light commercial vehicle built around a front-wheel-drive powertrain producing 150 kW (204 hp) and 330 Nm of torque, paired with a single-speed automatic transmission. For a council fleet vehicle covering predictable daily routes and returning to a depot overnight, that range profile is more than sufficient. The LFP (lithium iron phosphate) chemistry is also worth noting — LFP cells are well regarded for longevity and thermal stability, qualities that matter when a vehicle needs to stay in service for several years.

The eDeliver 7's exterior dimensions sit at approximately 5.0 to 5.36 metres long, 2.03 metres wide and 1.99 to 2.39 metres high depending on wheelbase and roof height. That puts it in a practical middle ground: large enough to carry meaningful loads, compact enough to navigate the mixed urban and rural terrain that characterises much of Blaenau Gwent's geography.

Zero tailpipe emissions mean the vehicle contributes directly to the council's environmental and air quality objectives, without requiring any operational compromise from the teams using it.
